George W. Reagan Company was selected as the contractor for the Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church Student Ministry Building via competitive bid. The construction project includes an 18,900 square foot building, an 1,100 square foot radiused raised outdoor entry porch, and a large outdoor plaza. The interior includes a two large multi-use areas (one with an active stage), a large gathering area, an active serving area, several large break out rooms, support offices, conference rooms, and support restrooms. Masonry and concrete walls combined with metal stud framing, the radiused standing seam entry roof, brick and stone veneer masonry create an appealing exterior. Interior finishes consist of carpet, ceramic tile with epoxy grout, polished / stained exposed concrete floors, acoustical and exposed painted structural ceilings, and painted gypsum board and masonry walls. Extensive co-ordination was required between Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church, Lindsay & Maples Architects, Inc., and George W. Reagan Company in order to for the church to continue its traditional services and its special holiday services including Christmas Services and its annual Missions Conference. State of the art LED light fixtures have been utilized through-out the building in order to allow maximum light level controls.
