Microtherm – Tenant Build Out

George W. Reagan Company was awarded the contract for the Microtherm Build Out via design/build. The existing 50,000 square foot shell building and the owner’s tenant required major completion/renovations in order to achieve a fully functional manufacturing facility with two story support offices. The manufacturing area boasts a new laser screed 6” reinforced concrete slab on grade, exhaust fans and louvers (cut into the existing tilt up walls), and floor mounted gas air turnover unit for heating purposes. The 5,672 square foot, wood framed, two story office includes restrooms on both floors, luxury vinyl plank flooring, VCT, carpet, sheetrock and acoustical ceilings, new aluminum storefront windows, pre-finished solid core wood doors, and rubber stair treads to create aesthetically pleasing support office.

Furrow – Fountain Valley Drive Re-roof

George W. Reagan Company was selected via negotiation as the contractor for re-roof of the existing CLF property at Fountain Valley Drive in Knoxville. The construction project included tearing off and replacing 180,000 square feet of metal roof including the various trim such as rake, gutter, and downspouts. The existing tenants, including Clayton Homes Manufacturing and Formall Plastics, had to be kept up and running during the tear off and replacement. Careful coordination regarding staging of materials and avoiding inclement weather was a priority and made this project a success.

Valley Proteins – New Scale House

George W. Reagan Company was selected as the contractor for the Valley Proteins Scale House via competitive bid. The multiuse facility includes a canteen, support offices, locker rooms, showers, and a new scale. Masonry walls combined with metal stud framing, the standing seam roof, and the pre-engineered canopies provide a structurally sound yet aesthetically pleasing exterior. Interior finishes consist of ceramic tile with epoxy grout, FRP doors and frames, acoustical ceilings, and painted masonry walls. An employee parking lot, scale, and bio swale retention ponds were also added to the site as part of this project.

Advanced Catalyst Systems

George W. Reagan Company was selected as the design builder for the Advanced Catalyst System’s building addition. The pre-engineered addition includes a production area, restrooms, rated corridor, and a new dock. Masonry walls combined with metal wall panels, the standing seam roof, and the aluminum storefront windows provide a structurally sound yet aesthetically pleasing exterior. Careful planning and coordination played a great part in making this a successful project for the owner. Daily business activities were maintained even though there was limited access during construction.

Tennessee Packaging Company

George W. Reagan Company was contracted as a design/builder for Tennessee Packaging Company’s New Office and Warehouse after the owner had interviewed three general contractors. After selection, George W. Reagan Company assembled a team of subcontractors and vendors in order to explore the best building / construction options for the owner’s consideration. Working in conjunction with the owner, the design team, subcontractors, and vendors, we have provided an attractive, cost effective, and functional building for the owner’s use. Utilizing design input from our subcontractors and vendors, George W. Reagan Company and George Armour Ewart Architect have met the owner’s budget and earned the owner’s trust. The building features include exposed structural steel framing in the state of the art office, R-30 insulation at the front office area, architectural standing seam metal roof panels, recycled carpet tiles, curtainwall storefront window elements, and the use of canopies / sunscreens to hold cooling costs to a minimum.

Sam Furrow Warehouses

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the general contractor for Sam Furrow Warehouses by competitive bid. Sizeable building and site concrete retaining walls along with soil nailing allowed the owner to maximize square footage on this site. The 53,000 square foot warehouse incorporates a clearspan pre-engineered building with a mechanically seamed metal roof. Multiple roof height changes and large overhead door canopies were no challenge due to self performed erection practices. Exterior finishes include painted block masonry, pre-finished vee-rib metal panels, and aluminum storefront. Portions of the five inch thick slab on grade were left out for future tenant build out. An ESFR sprinkler system with a seventy five horsepower pump was utilized in order to maximize potential storage height at approximately twenty feet.

Walker’s Supply Company

George W. Reagan Company was awarded a negotiated contract after the Owner interviewed general contractors. Budgetary constraints were maintained by a series of meetings involving the Owner, Architect, Contractor, and Subcontractors. The office / showroom and the warehouse consist of pre-engineered structures including the second floor bar joist and decking. The 50,000 square foot warehouse incorporates pre-engineered wide bay truss purlins limiting the number of interior columns providing maximum flexibility for racking. Both buildings utilize mechanically seamed standing seam roofs and R-30 roof insulation. The office / showroom utilize exterior insulation finish system and simulated masonry stone veneer creating an aesthetically pleasing focal point and entrance. The space features accessible flooring at the working plumbing showroom. Interior finishes consist of ceramic tile, carpet, stained / polished concrete, and painted gypsum board.

MAACO Collision Repair & Auto Painting

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the design / builder for MAACO Collision Repair & Auto Painting through negotiated means in order to “fast track” the project. Despite the difficulty of existing site storm drainage, the project was completed on time and within budget. The construction consists of a pre-engineered building, reinforced concrete slab on grade, masonry block, and aluminum storefront. The interior finish out includes millwork, ceramic tile, sheet vinyl, and wood flooring. The building features a paint booth, paint mixing room, and overhead doors.

Universal Sanitizers and Supplies

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the contractor for Universal Sanitizers and Supplies via competitive bid / negotiation. The construction consists of a pre-engineered building, reinforced concrete slab on grade, masonry block, and aluminum storefront. The front entry / lobby area utilized structural steel framing in order to create an inviting entrance. The interior space features a stepped lecturing hall, curved accent walls, and laboratories. The interior office finish includes millwork, ceramic tile, vinyl composition tile, carpet, and painted gypsum board walls. The warehouse features a thickened tank slab and additional water supply lines to support the buildings tenant.

Claiborne Hauling and Excavating

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the design / builder for Claiborne Hauling and Excavating through bid / negotiation. The construction consists of a pre-engineered building, reinforced concrete slab on grade, masonry block and brick veneers, and aluminum storefront. Sandstone Nichiha siding was utilized at the front entry to create an aesthetically pleasing entrance. Second floor office area consists of pre-engineered wood trusses bearing on structural steel studs. The interior finish includes millwork, ceramic tile, vinyl composition tile, and painted gypsum board walls. The building features a full length oil pit and waste oil burning unit heaters
