The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the general contractor for the Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church Multi-Purpose Building by competitive bid. There were numerous site obstacles that required special attention including concrete retaining walls, sewer pump station with approximately ½ mile of force main, and a railroad boring. The space features a second floor multi-purpose hall, educational classrooms, a full service kitchen, and administration/support offices. The exterior of the building mixes stone masonry veneer, exterior insulation finish system, and architectural standing seam roof panels. Interior finishes consist of ceramic tile, carpet, VCT, and painted gypsum board and masonry walls. The structure of the building utilizes structural steel column and beams, concrete retaining walls, bearing masonry walls, hollow core precast planks, metal stud framing, pre-engineered wood trusses with wood roof deck.
