Gibbs Rural Metro Fire Station

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the design / builder for Gibbs Rural Metro Fire Station through bid / negotiation in order to meet the Owner’s budgetary restraints. The design team worked with the Owner and Rural Metro in order to minimize the required square footage while improving the functionality of the space.
The construction consists of a mix of wood framing and masonry bearing walls, pre-engineered wood trusses, reinforced concrete slab on grade, and masonry brick veneer. The interior finishes include painted gypsum board and masonry walls, vinyl composition tile, and carpet.

Tellico West Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the contractor for the Tellico West Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union by competitive bid. Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union purchased a Wilkins Builders, Inc. modular building. George W. Reagan Company completed the necessary site work, installed the required foundations, and set the building in place. The general contractor was then responsible to construct the structural steel canopy, entrance lobby, and complete the exterior finishes including masonry brick veneer, exterior insulation finish system, and aluminum storefront entrances. The interior finishes including electrical, mechanical, millwork, ceramic tile, vinyl composition tile, carpet, and painted gypsum board walls were completed by George W. Reagan Company.

Seymour Branch of BankEast

George W. Reagan Company was selected general contractor for the Seymour Branch of BankEast by negotiation. The existing building was completely gutted and the exterior façade was removed. The Owner desired to utilize the existing construction as much as was practical for monetary purposes. Existing foundations were revisited and new foundations were placed in order to support the new brick veneer and a new drive thru canopy. New wood roof trusses completed the exterior transformation and provided the aesthetics the Owner desired. New interior finishes include ceramic tile, carpeting, and painted gypsum board.

Sea Ray Building Enclosure

The 16,800 square foot addition was a challenge for all parties involved due to the tight scheduling restraints. Sea Ray Boats partnered with the George W. Reagan Company in order to continue production during the construction process. The annual two week plant shut down was the single opportunity to reconfigure and relocate existing assembly lines, as well as, placing the re-engineered production lines into operation for the returning workforce in order to avoid “plant down time.” The existing slab on grade was utilized to reduce cost, but the new expansion required heavy foundations which were saw cut, excavated, and poured in place while the Owner utilized the slab. Varco-Pruden manufactured the pre-engineered building with the Reagan Company self-performing the building erection in order to meet the Owner’s schedule.

Paramount Sales Company, Inc.

The new corporate office and distribution center was constructed utilizing a mix of conventional and pre-engineered technology. Large quantities of unsuitable soils were encountered during excavation and foundation work, yet the building was completed on time. The distribution center features rigid clear frames, masonry walls to 8’0” above the finished floor, metal wall panels, 6” reinforced concrete slab on grade, and the building is prepared to expand at the high eave. Masonry brick and aluminum storefront enhances the exterior of the office. Interior finishes include polished ceramic tile, carpeting, wood wainscot, and wood trim.

Dalen Distribution Center

The challenge of constructing the new warehouse facility in a wetland environment involved the use of structural piles and a bridge connecting the new and an existing building over an active waterway. Continual dewatering efforts were necessary during the footing excavation and foundation work, yet the building was completed on time and within budget. The building features concrete retaining walls, 6” reinforced concrete slab on grade and an energy efficient motion sensor lighting package. Varco-Pruden manufactured the pre-engineered building utilizing wide bay spacing and a standing seam roof.

B.B.&T. – Merchant’s Drive Branch

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the general contractor for the B. B. & T. – Merchant’s Drive Branch through a competitive bid. The construction consists of reinforced concrete slab on grade, cast in place concrete vault, masonry brick, masonry precast, metal stud framing, wood trusses, wood roof deck, dimensional asphalt shingle roofing, and aluminum storefront system. Interior finishes consist of ceramic tile, carpet, vinyl composition tile, painted gypsum board, and wall-coverings.

Imperial Home Decor Group

The 82,000 square foot addition is a wide bay pre-engineered building with a standing seam metal roof. Imperial Home Décor Group, one of North America’s largest manufacturers and distributors of wall covering, selected George W. Reagan Company as the design builder. The extensive rack system is supported by a 6” reinforced concrete slab on grade. The George W. Reagan Company self performed the building erection assuring the proper building alignment and weather tightness.

B.B.&T. – Northshore Drive Branch

The George W. Reagan Company was selected as the general contractor for the B. B. & T. – Northshore Branch through a competitive bid. The construction consists of reinforced concrete slab on grade, cast in place concrete vault, masonry brick, masonry precast, metal stud framing, wood trusses, wood roof deck, dimensional asphalt shingle roofing, and aluminum storefront system. Interior finishes consist of ceramic tile, carpet, vinyl composition tile, painted gypsum board, and wall-coverings.

Stowers Machinery Company

George W. Reagan Company was awarded a design-build contract after the Owner interviewed several design-build contractors. The new corporate office (6,000 square feet) was constructed utilizing a mix of conventional and pre-engineered technology. The new truck shop (18,000 square feet) was constructed with pre-engineered technology. In addition, 10,000 square feet of existing roof was retrofitted in order to alleviate existing leaks. The truck shop features rigid clear frames, masonry walls to 8’0” above the finished floor, metal wall panels, 6” reinforced concrete slab on grade, and an overhead crane. Masonry brick, and semi concealed metal wall panels, and aluminum storefront enhances the exterior of the office. Interior finishes include ceramic tile, carpeting, and painted gypsum board.
